As you go forth and enjoy your weekend, hopefully with music providing the soundtrack, let us know what you're listening to this weekend.

My offline listening for this weekend is:

David Bowie – Aladdin Sane:

Bowie has always been an enigma to me. I enjoy his music, but not all of it, yet I won’t turn if off either. This strange dichotomy has meant that I’ve never fully explored his entire catalogue. Perhaps I should listen to his albums back-to-back, but when I’m in the mood for some Bowie I always turn to Aladdin Sane or Best of Bowie.

Daniel Johns – Aerial Love (EP):

This four track EP, by former Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns, was released before his full-length solo debut, Talk, hit record stores. I have a signed CD edition of Talk that I will review shortly, but don't wait for my opinion as his performance really is that good on both the EP and full album.

Foo Fighters – Saint Cecilla (EP):

Despite Saint Cecilla being a free download from everywhere, including their own dedicated website, I have preordered the vinyl edition and will write an opinion piece when it arrives. It is classic Foo Fighters and they certainly don’t disappoint.

1927 – ...ish (20th Anniversary Edition):

This is an exceptional album, by an incredible Australian band. Give the album a listen and let me know what you think. I know you won't be disappointed. In a similar vein as Daryl Braithwaite, 1927 never really got the international recognition they deserved. While all the songs are incredible, I never tire of the beautiful ballad, Compulsory Hero.

Okay, now it is your turn. Let us know what music you are listening to this weekend.
